Frequently Asked Questions

For Job Seekers

A temporary position is a non-permanent assignment that often lasts for just a few months (though it can be shorter or longer on a case-by-case basis). The majority of our temporary jobs include the option for direct conversion to a permanent role, which can be a great opportunity to see if the position and company are a good fit before you commit.

Alternatively, many of our temporary employees have worked with us in this capacity for years, opting for flexibility and versatility in their career. We have plenty of opportunities to keep our employees busy!

It’s easy! Search our jobs board and click “Apply” when you find something you like. You only need to provide us with a few pieces of information—we’ll take it from there!

We pride ourselves on having a footing in various industries. Chances are—we have a number of open jobs in whatever you like to do best. As a 54-year-old company, we’ve served thousands of clients in dozens of industries, and have dedicated recruiters for roles ranging from Registered Nurses to Production Associates. You can find more information on the roles and industries we specialize in here.

All over Texas! Check out our job board to see what’s currently available.

Simply apply online, interview with one of our recruiters, and complete your onboarding paperwork (which should take no more than 10-15 minutes). We handle the rest (and our recruiter will guide you through every step of the process)!

At Openwork, we’re proud to fill jobs 12x faster than the average staffing company—in many cases, you’ll be working at your new job by the very next day. We have a revolving door of immediate-need roles that are waiting to be filled.

Once matched to a position, you’ll be paid weekly every Friday (We’re giving a whole new meaning to the phrase “TGIF”). You can set up direct deposit or elect to receive payments by paycard.

We offer health, dental and vision benefits to all Openwork employees. You will become eligible for benefits the first of the month following 60 days of employment.

You can check your pay stub by logging into our employee portal.

You can contact any of our recruiters, or you can contact your local Openwork branch, via text, email, or phone. You can find the contact information of our locations here. If you have a general inquiry, or if you aren't sure which location to reach out to, you can email us at hi@openwork.com.

If you’re working a temp-to-hire assignment, it is very likely you will become eligible for direct client conversion following the completion of a minimum hourly requirement. While we don’t have exact numbers for how likely this is, the majority of our employees become eligible due to good performance (we’ve got a great team).

Absolutely. We have tons of great shorter-term job opportunities, and we will work to keep you employed on your terms.

Nope! No resume, no problem. You can easily apply by answering a few short questions via this link. Your resume is optional (we’ll never require a formal resume).

We offer employment verification through The Work Number.
