What You’ll Do

• Greet and assist residents with transactions such as vehicle registration, title transfers, and property tax payments

• Accurately process payments including cash, check, credit/debit, and e-check

• Verify documents and identification for accuracy and compliance

• Balance your cash drawer daily and complete required reports

• Deliver courteous, efficient service in a high-volume environment

• Maintain accurate data entry and uphold confidentiality protocols

• Support overall office operations and collaborate with team members

• Travel to other Harris County branches when needed for training or operational support

What You Bring

• At least 6 months of recent, face-to-face customer service experience with cash handling (retail, banking, or similar)

• High school diploma or GED from a U.S.-accredited institution

• Typing speed of 30+ WPM

• Strong math, data entry, and attention-to-detail skills

• Dependability, punctuality, and professionalism

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Bonus: Bilingual in Spanish, Vietnamese, or Chinese (a plus but not required)

Position Details

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  (Occasional Saturdays required; willingness to travel to other branches as needed)

• Pay: $15/hour, paid weekly

• Type: Temp-to-Hire with opportunity for permanent placement

• Location: Multiple Harris County locations
