Openwork is partnering with a growing manufacturing facility in Norwood, NC and is currently seeking experienced Welders, Spot Welders, and Press Brake Operators to join their team. These are hands-on manufacturing positions ideal for candidates with previous metal fabrication, welding, or machine operation experience.
Open Positions
Spot Welder
Responsibilities:
- Perform spot welding on metal components according to specifications
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Read and follow work instructions and production schedules
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Meet daily production goals
Welder
Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG/TIG welding on metal components and assemblies
- Read blueprints and welding specifications
- Inspect welds for quality and compliance
- Repair or rework defective welds as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and quality standards
Press Brake Operator
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machinery
- Read blueprints and work orders
- Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards are met
- Perform basic machine adjustments and troubleshooting
- Maintain production and safety requirements
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing experience required
- Prior welding, spot welding, or press brake experience preferred for applicable roles
- Ability to read measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers
- Ability to follow work instructions and safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
