Weaver – Thomaston, GA

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find motivated and dependable Weavers in Thomaston, GA. In this hands-on and fast-paced role, you will learn how to operate industrial weaving equipment, monitor production, identify quality issues, and help produce finished textile products in a climate-controlled facility. In a Weaver job you’ll be responsible for:

• Learn to operate and monitor industrial weaving equipment.

• Monitor machines and production to ensure quality and efficiency.

• Identify and correct basic production and quality issues.

• Follow safety and production procedures.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Work as part of a team to meet production goals.

• Complete all required training and demonstrate proficiency on assigned equipment.

What you’ll need:

• Previous weaving or textile manufacturing experience is NOT required!

• Weaving or manufacturing experience is a huge plus and may qualify you for higher starting pay.

• Ability and willingness to learn industrial equipment and processes.

• Strong attendance and punctuality are required.

• No late arrivals or missed work during your first 90 days.

• Maximum of 3 attendance strikes within your first 90 days.

• Must pass a 7-year background check and drug screen.

• Updated resume required.

• Bilingual and Spanish-speaking candidates are welcomed and encouraged to apply!

• Steel-toe boots are not required.

• Comfortable work attire is permitted, including shorts.

Training & Shift Schedule:

Everyone starts on 1st shift for training:

• 1st Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

After completing training, employees move to their assigned shift:

• 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM

• 3rd Shift: 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM

Pay progression: First week of training is $14/hour. After graduating training, your base pay increases to $16–$19/hour based on how well you perform during training, plus a $1/hour shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift.
