*Previous trade experience not necessary but is a plus – HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, Construction, Automotive, etc.*
Main Duties:
- Pack orders for UPS and FedEx shipping – Use various sizes of cardboard boxes combined with various types of packing materials. Packing materials include industrial bubble wrap, compression foam, expanding foam, and cardboard. Candidates must develop a consistent packing technique. Spatial relation awareness is key.
- Ship orders via UPS and FedEx – Candidates will utilize UPS and FedEx interfaces on the shipping station computer to produce shipping labels. This includes entering/verifying/transcribing information. Shipping product to Canada is common so candidates will also become familiar with creating export/Customs documentation.
- General Warehouse Cleaning and Housekeeping – Restock shipping station supplies, sweep floors, pick up trash, empty trash/recycled material bins, etc.
- Special Projects – There are sometimes additional tasks given to this position.
Requirements:
- Candidates must be able to lift 75lbs safely and consistently.
- This position offers on-the-job training for the basics, but candidates must be open to AND have the capacity for developing their technical knowledge related to our product line, custom builds, and customer base.
- This is a technical job and requires the ability to learn and remember technical information I.E. commit certain information to memory. The ability to learn and recall information is a good predictor of success.
- While the position starts off slow, it is expected that candidates pick up speed and efficiency over time in their work capacity and job knowledge.
- Candidates must be able to stay focused, organized, and on-task in a fast-paced work environment.
- Candidates must consistently demonstrate a positive and professional attitude.
- Candidates must have a strong sense of common courtesy & common sense when it comes to their work area and shared spaces I.E. clean up after yourself, clean up as you work, don’t leave messes for your coworkers.
- Must have your own, reliable vehicle
- Must be able to work 8a-5p Mon- Fri
