Location: Richardson, TX
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Openwork is excited to partner with a respected school distribution company in Richardson, TX to hire a dependable and detail-oriented Order Picker. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on warehouse work and wants to contribute to supporting local schools and educational departments.

In this role, you will help ensure that supplies, equipment, and textbooks are accurately received, organized, and delivered where they are needed most. Your work will directly support students, teachers, and school operations across the district.

Position Overview

As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, and distributing materials in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This position requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to safely operate warehouse equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving and Stocking

• Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming materials and supplies

• Report discrepancies or damaged items

• Maintain accurate warehouse records

Order Fulfillment

• Pick, pack, and prepare orders based on requisitions

• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all outgoing shipments

Distribution

• Load and unload trucks

• Deliver items to school campuses and district locations as needed

Inventory Management

• Assist with inventory counts and reconciliations

• Maintain organized storage areas and accurate documentation

Equipment Operation

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely

• Follow all safety procedures and warehouse guidelines

General Warehouse Support

• Assist with moving furniture and materials

• Remove obsolete or surplus items

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Previous warehouse experience preferred

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds

• Experience operating forklifts and warehouse equipment

• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills

• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
