Position: Warehouse Associate
Location: Houston, TX | 77073
Pay: $17.00/hour (Increases possible pending performance)
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Can work 9:45am - 5:45pm if wanted
- 1 hour lunch 12:00pm-1:00pm
- OT available as needed
Openwork is currently seeking a dependable Warehouse Associate to join a Warehouse Distribution facility in Houston, TX. Our client, has been in business for over 100 years offers opportunity for growth and excellent benefits if hired on permanently.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Use radio frequency or picking, receiving, and storing function, as required.
- Check contents of orders picked and assembled by the order pickers.
- Compare the quantity, quality, labeling and address with the customer’s order to
- ensure that outgoing shipments are complete and correct.
- Operate product handling equipment, including a forklift, efficiently, and safely while
- loading and unloading freight.
- Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
- Perform labeling, sorting, and repacking as needed.
- Perform inventory procedures accurately and with the utmost integrity.
- General Business support function as assigned.
- Assures correct piece count, quality of product and correct shipping information.
- Able to operate all warehouse equipment.
- Is cross trained and can work in multiple warehousing functions or shifts.
- Pallet sizes can be large, and not standard size. Our client works with all types of products from auto parts, clothing, food, industrial equipment and appliances.
- Basic data entry will take place via Microsoft Teams or Written data
- Sit down forklift operation (6,000lb and 12,000lb)
- Utilize RF Scanner for picking and packing orders
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, equivalency certificate or significant relevant or appropriate
- working experience.
- Approximately 5 years of service as a Warehouse Worker or Warehouse Checker.
- Demonstrates expert knowledge in all aspects of the warehouse.
- Approximately 5 years of Reach lift experience.
- Slip sheet / push pull experience.
