Openwork is currently hiring a Warehouse Associate / Shipping & Receiving Specialist for a growing and established company that values hard work, teamwork, and reliability. In this role, you'll play a key part in the day-to-day warehouse operation by receiving inventory, preparing shipments, managing outgoing orders, and helping maintain an organized and efficient warehouse environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Pull, verify, and prepare customer orders for shipment
- Package, label, and stage products for delivery with a high level of accuracy
- Coordinate and schedule outgoing shipments with carriers
- Ensure all shipping paperwork and documentation is completed correctly
- Receive incoming inventory and inspect products for quality and accuracy
- Safely operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and store materials
- Organize warehouse inventory and maintain clean storage areas
- Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies or damaged goods
- Communicate effectively with team members and leadership regarding shipping priorities and order status
- Follow all safety procedures and warehouse best practices
- Contribute to a positive team environment while working independently to meet daily goals
What We're Looking For
- Previous warehouse and shipping/receiving experience required
- Forklift experience required (certification required)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Experience using shipping software, inventory systems, or warehouse management systems is a plus
- Basic computer skills and comfort managing shipping documentation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain active throughout the workday
Preferred Experience
- Inventory control and cycle counting
- Freight scheduling and carrier coordination
- Fast-paced warehouse or distribution environments
- Problem-solving and process improvement
