Now Hiring: Warehouse & Operations Floor Lead – 1st Shift

Location: Watertown, Connecticut
Pay: $26.00 – $30.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Overtime: Available based on production needs, including occasional Saturdays

Openwork is partnering with a globally recognized manufacturer with more than 70 years of industry success to hire an experienced Warehouse & Operations Floor Lead. This company is known for producing high-quality wooden reels used worldwide and maintaining a strong team-oriented culture focused on safety, reliability, and operational excellence.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader who enjoys working hands-on, supporting warehouse operations, and helping production teams succeed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the 1st shift warehouse and assembly team

• Operate sit-down forklifts to move heavy wooden reels and materials safely

• Assign daily tasks and monitor workflow throughout the shift

• Train employees on safety procedures and production processes

• Ensure quality and production standards are met

• Read work orders and follow production schedules

• Assist with resolving production or operational issues

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment

• Support assembly and warehouse tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of warehouse, manufacturing, or operations lead experience required

• Previous sit-down forklift and warehouse experience required

• Leadership or team lead experience preferred

• Strong reliability and attendance record

• Ability to lift, bend, and stand throughout the shift

• Comfortable working in a labor-intensive, non-climate-controlled environment

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Detail-oriented with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
