Location: Northside Houston, TX
Pay: $16.50 per hour | Weekly Pay
Schedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours Per Week | Rotating Weekends

Openwork is partnering with Harris County to hire compassionate and dependable Veterinary Assistants to support a busy veterinary and animal care facility. What You'll Do

• Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and routine procedures
• Feed, clean, monitor, and care for animals
• Safely handle and restrain animals during exams and treatments
• Assist with administering medications and basic diagnostic procedures
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary treatment areas
• Document animal care, treatments, and observations
• Provide friendly customer service to pet owners and visitors
• Support daily clinic and shelter operations as needed

What We're Looking For

• 1+ year of veterinary, animal care, kennel, shelter, or related experience required
• High school diploma or GED required
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Compassion for animals and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
