Meador an Openwork company is currently engaged in a search for two Turbine Technicians in the North Houston area. Apply today if you meet the qualifications listed below. In the Turbine Technician job, you’ll be responsible for:
Execution of clean line activities as instructed by the Production Supervisor
Disassembly, inspection, and assembly of gas turbine generators and associated equipment by calculating associated dimensions and clearances
Thorough and timely completion of all component repairs and overhaul records
Carry out calculations using appropriate measuring equipment such as micrometers
Execution of repairs and overhauls in accordance with production supervisor/project management/customer requirements
Interpret/analyze engineering drawings, repair schemes, service bulletins and all relevant technical documentation
Safety awareness in all areas
Other duties as required
What you’ll need:
Knowledge of and proactive engagement on HSE requirements
Strong focus and passion for customer satisfaction
Demonstrated positive and constructive attitude
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Able to stay calm and flexible in support of changing external and internal customer needs
Solid verbal and written communication skills.
Understanding basic engineering principles a plus
Certificate from a technical school a plus
Further educational qualification in a mechanical/engineering discipline is a plus
3 years’ experience in the field of high-speed rotating machinery preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Perks: Monday – Thursday 6 AM to 4 PM Fridays 6 AM to 2:30 PM Starting pay at $22/hour
