In the Title Clerk position, you'll be responsible for:
- Processing, reviewing, and maintaining accurate vehicle title documentation for the credit union’s auto loan portfolio.
- This position ensures proper lien placement, title perfection, compliance with state and federal regulations, and timely resolution of title discrepancies to protect the credit union’s collateral interests.
- Process vehicle titles for new and refinanced auto loans
- Ensure timely and accurate lien recording and title perfection in accordance with state regulations.
- Review loan documentation to verify accuracy and completeness before submitting title paperwork.
- Track and follow up on outstanding titles, liens, and corrections.
- Work directly with dealerships, members, DMV offices, and third-party vendors to resolve title issues.
- Process title releases upon loan payoff.
- Maintain accurate title tracking logs and electronic records.
- Research and correct title discrepancies, including VIN mismatches, missing signatures, or incorrect lienholder information.
- Monitor compliance with state DMV regulations and credit union policies.
- Assist with audits related to title documentation and lien perfection.
- Provide exceptional service to internal staff and members regarding title-related inquiries.
- Support loan operations team with additional administrative duties as assigned.
What you'll need:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of title processing experience (financial institution or dealership preferred).
- Knowledge of state DMV title regulations and lien perfection requirements.
- Bilingual - Required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience working in a credit union or financial institution.
- Familiarity with loan processing systems and indirect lending platforms.
- Understanding of UCC filings and secured collateral documentation.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Benefits:
Pay: $19.10 - $23.88/hr. (depending on experience)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30AM - 5PM
