Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find Technician for a manufacturing facility in Taylor, TX! In this role, you’ll support the assembly, maintenance, and production of mechanical and electrical systems in a shop and field environment. As a Technician, you’ll be responsible for:
- Performing mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies
- Completing electrical wiring, cable, and harness fabrication
- Connecting battery systems and performing interconnections
- Reading and following schematics, build documentation, and work instructions
- Using standard shop tools to complete production tasks
- Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues during assembly and maintenance
- Ensuring quality and accuracy in all assemblies
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Supporting team production goals in a fast-paced setting
- Performing preventive maintenance (PM) on gas scrubber systems
- Inspecting, cleaning, and replacing consumable parts and components
- Conducting system inspections for leaks, corrosion, and abnormal conditions
- Checking operating parameters and system status during PM activities
- Supporting senior technicians and engineers during maintenance or service work
- Following site safety procedures, including PPE and LOTO requirements
- Providing on-site technical support during scheduled maintenance activities
- Performing field service travel and on-site work as required
- Completing maintenance checklists, service reports, and documentation
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of equipment and work areas
What you will need:
- 3–6 years hands-on experience with mechanical assembly and basic electrical wiring
- Required: Troubleshooting experience (mechanical and electrical systems)
- Experience with crimping, harness building, and shop tools
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
- Comfortable working in a shop/production and field environment
- No electrician or engineering license required
