Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Technician II to join our field services team. This is a direct hire opportunity for candidates with 1–3 years of hands-on experience in low-voltage cabling, system installations, and troubleshooting. You’ll play a key role in independently executing installations and resolving hardware integration issues while mentoring junior technicians in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structured cabling installations, including terminations, punchdowns, and certifications

• Conduct hardware/system troubleshooting and integration with minimal supervision

• Test and certify copper and fiber optic cabling to meet quality standards

• Guide and mentor Technician I personnel during day-to-day field activities

• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used

• Adhere to job site safety protocols and best practices

• Collaborate with project managers and field teams to meet timelines

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of relevant, hands-on experience in structured cabling and system installation

• Proficient in using test equipment and performing punchdowns

• Ability to independently troubleshoot hardware and low-voltage systems

• Prior experience mentoring or guiding junior technicians is a plus

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Must have flexible availability to work varying shifts or extended hours as needed

• Comfortable working in non-climate-controlled or outdoor environments
