Experienced Structural Welders Needed in Houston, TX!
Job Summary: An Energy company in Houston, TX is seeking experienced Structural Welders to perform weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations in a manufacturing environment. Candidates should be comfortable reading blueprints and weld symbols and have experience working with structural steel and welding equipment.
Responsibilities:
Perform structural welding, weld preparation, and finishing.
Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and weld symbols.
Set up welding equipment and adjust amps, volts, and other parameters.
Select appropriate wire/filler materials for different steel alloys.
Use conventional and precision measuring tools.
Perform weld inspections and complete required documentation.
Maintain welding equipment and a clean, organized work area.
Perform finish grinding using manual and power tools.
Follow OSHA, PPE, and company safety requirements.
Climb ladders as needed and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
Requirements:
Previous structural welding experience.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Ability to read and understand weld symbols.
Knowledge of welding processes, equipment setup, and parameters.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Manufacturing/fabrication experience preferred.
Ability to work safely in a fast-paced shop environment.
Steel-toe boots and safety glasses required; company provides hard hat.
Pay: $25–$30/hr., DOE Location: Houston, TX Schedule: Full-time; shift may vary
