What you'll do:
- Drive process improvements to achieve production goals, increase efficiency, and ensure quality.
- Manage daily updates of the Distributed Control System (DCS) and develop recipes from lab to plant scale.
- Collaborate on special projects, capital investments, and safety initiatives with production, maintenance, and engineering teams.
- Support environmental, health, and safety programs to maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulations.
- Participate in process hazard analysis (HAZOP) studies to enhance safety and process reliability.
- Assist in scaling up new products to ensure smooth and effective transitions.
- Contribute to strategic goals, fostering a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Process Engineering.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, preferably with polymers.
- Strong knowledge of chemical processing, control systems, piping, and equipment.
- Proven troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with high-performance polymer production.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
- Experience conducting safety and process hazard analyses (HAZOP).
Other Requirements:
- Willing to participate in safety initiatives and audits.
- Ability to coordinate with maintenance for repairs, turnaround planning, and safety improvements.
- Commitment to compliance with company policies and environmental standards.
Salary ranges from $120,000 to $135,000 plus a sign-on bonus.
