Job Summary:
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for accurately picking, packing, and shipping customer orders while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This role ensures that products are prepared, packaged, and shipped in accordance with company procedures, customer requirements, and carrier guidelines. The Shipping Clerk plays a critical role in meeting delivery commitments by verifying order accuracy, preventing damage, and supporting efficient warehouse operations.

Essential Functions:
  • Pick customer orders accurately from inventory using pick lists, ERP system, and/or shipping documentation to ensure correct items and quantities are selected.
  • Pack products securely and efficiently using appropriate materials and methods to prevent damage during handling and transit while meeting customer and carrier requirements.
  • Monitor and respond to group email inboxes, communicating promptly with Receiving, Customer Service, and Operations to support daily workflow and resolve receiving related questions.
  • Prepare shipments for outbound delivery, including labeling, weighing, staging, and verifying shipment accuracy prior to carrier pickup.
  • Complete required shipping documentation and system transactions accurately and timely, ensuring shipment records, tracking information, and inventory updates are correct.
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues to resolve discrepancies, communicate delivery issues, and support smooth hand-offs between warehouse and other areas.
  • Operate material handling equipment safely, such as pallet jacks or forklifts, and follow all safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Two years of experience in shipping/receiving preferred.
  • Experience operating material?handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks); forklift certification preferred but not required. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and follow written instructions.
  • Comfortable handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • PC skills - Microsoft Office and ERP systems knowledge.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials as required.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift material up to 35 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to work in warehouse conditions subject to seasonal temperature variations.

  • Duration: 1-3 months
  • Pay: $17- $18
  • Shift: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm or 8:00 am – 5:30 pm
