Now hiring for a Shipping & Receiving Associate opportunity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment supporting the production of steel framing and building materials. This is a great opportunity for dependable candidates with warehouse and manufacturing experience looking for long-term growth.
Pay: $18.50–$20.00/hour
Schedule: Full-time | Overtime may be available
Location: Griffin, GA
Shift Information:
- Candidates will train on 1st shift for approximately 1 month
- After training, employees will transition to 2nd shift
- 2nd shift hours are:
- 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM and/or
- 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming materials for quality, quantity, and damage
- Verify shipments against purchase orders and shipping paperwork
- Safely unload and load trucks while staging materials for production and outbound shipping
- Pick, pack, label, and stage outbound orders accurately
- Maintain inventory records through scanning and manual documentation
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory reconciliation
- Coordinate pickups and deliveries with carriers and internal departments
- Communicate shipment delays, shortages, or issues professionally
- Support warehouse organization and continuous improvement initiatives
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and PPE requirements
Requirements:
- Previous shipping & receiving experience required
- Manufacturing experience required; metal production experience is a plus
- Steel toe boots are REQUIRED
- Must be able to pass:
- Drug screening
- Background check
- Tape measure test
- Math test
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment and wear PPE
