Job Description
Shipping & Receiving Supervisor must possess a thorough knowledge of processes and procedures associated with supply, storage, and distribution functions within a fast-paced environment. The candidate will be responsible for inbound/outbound orders, inventory management, storage, and accurate documentation of packaged materials for their assigned dock. They will assist the Facility Manager in various tasks and responsibilities.
Requirements
• Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language.
• Mathematical skills: the ability to perform all basic calculations (add, subtract, multiply,
and divide).
• Physical demands: Must be able to lift 55 lbs.
• Warehouse environment: in and outdoor with possible extreme weather conditions.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and equipment
• Perform various tasks in assistance or in support of the client organization including but not limited to general labor.
• Be willing to work other than normal scheduled hours, which may include evenings,
weekends and/or holidays according to the needs of the business.
• Punctuality is a must; be on time and ready to work at the start of shift.
• Must pass the client Forklift Driver Exam for both theory and practice.
• Must have a valid/current driver’s license.
• Participate in daily operations including loading/unloading.
• Manage all or part of the Forklift Driver Team.
• Perform the daily checks on the staging of cargo.
• Manage the physical loading/unloading and storage of the warehouse.
• Manage administration of the Forklift Drivers.
• Perform the job function of the Facility Manager in their absence.
• Must possess the skills to provide quality customer service, including the ability to deal
with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner within diversified situations.
• Ability to perform assigned work tasks with little or no supervision.
• Responsible for the same tasks as the S&R Leadman and Forklift Drivers.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
• Wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and follow/execute all safety procedures/rules as outlined in the client Safety Manual and OSHA Regulations.
• Possess a high standard of quality.
• Thorough knowledge of all procedures, instructions, and documents of the Client Quality Manual relevant to the department and facility.
