Openwork is hiring an experienced Sheet Metal Equipment Maintenance Technician for a leading manufacturing facility in Dallas. This is a great opportunity for a skilled maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, preventing downtime, and working with advanced sheet metal fabrication machinery.

Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on sheet metal fabrication equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues
- Inspect machinery for wear, damage, and safety concerns
- Maintain maintenance logs and repair documentation
- Monitor and organize maintenance tools and spare parts inventory
- Recommend equipment improvements and efficiency upgrades
- Train operators on basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime
- Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers for specialized repairs and replacement parts
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical or vocational maintenance training preferred
- 2–4+ years of industrial equipment maintenance experience required
- Experience in a sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing environment strongly preferred
- Ability to read electrical schematics, machinery manuals, and mechanical drawings
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial equipment systems preferred
- Ability to lift equipment and remain active throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and problem-solving skills
