In a Set Up Technician job, you’ll be responsible for:

• Diagnosing and repairing advanced equipment, including laser machines, hydraulic presses, and robotic welding systems.

• Performing comprehensive repairs across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

• Supporting robotic welding operations, including setup, fault recovery, and providing basic programming support.

• Analyzing machine faults to minimize downtime and performing both preventive and corrective maintenance.

• Interpreting technical documentation, such as electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and manuals, to guide repairs.

• Collaborating effectively with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve issues.

• Maintaining accurate documentation of all maintenance and repair activities.

• Prioritizing safety by strictly following lockout/tagout (LOTO) and quality procedures.

What you’ll need:

• Proven industrial experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.

• Direct hands-on experience with laser systems, hydraulic presses, and robotic welding.

• Strong technical skills in mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting.

• Technical literacy and the ability to read schematics and complex technical drawings.

• Foundational knowledge of PLC basics and automation systems.

• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.

• Independence, with the ability to work effectively under minimal supervision.

• Preferred qualifications: Experience with industrial robots (FANUC, ABB, KUKA), welding automation, or a background as an industrial electrician in metal fabrication.
