Meador an Openwork Company is currently engaged in a search to find a CONTRACT-TO-HIRE Senior Plant Accountant in the Channelview area (77015) that is eager to work. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and hands-on experience managing financial processes in a dynamic environment.
As a Senior Plant Accountant you’ll be responsible for:
Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Monitor and analyze cost components related to liquid inventory and processing
Assist with inventory valuation, cost tracking, and variance analysis
Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls
Utilize financial software to generate reports and support financial analysis
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams to support business objectives
Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as needed
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, chemical, or related industries
NetSuite experience is a HUGE plus
