Meador an Openwork Company is currently engaged in a search to find a DIRECT-HIRE Senior Accountant in the Pasadena area (77507) that is eager to work. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong full cycle accounting experience that has previously worked in the manufacturing industry.
As a Senior Accountant you’ll be responsible for:
Manage full-cycle accounting including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable in compliance with GAAP.
Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Maintain vendor master data, process invoices and payments, and ensure proper coding, approvals, and documentation.
Oversee cash activity, including bank reconciliations, deposits, and cash book management across multiple accounts.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including plant-level cost accounting, depreciation planning, and long-range financial planning.
Prepare and analyze financial and operational reports, including variable cost reports and other management reporting.
Calculate, accrue, and file sales and use tax in accordance with State of Texas requirements.
Track and report on capital projects, fixed assets, and support audits, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives including risk and loss control.
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, chemical, or related industries
Employee management experience is a huge plus
Perks:
$75K-$90K
9-80 schedule
