Openwork has an opening for a Scale Operator/Quality Assurance specialist. This is a critical role that ensures the smooth and accurate flow of materials at the facility by weighing incoming and outgoing shipments and maintaining high standards for material quality. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate the vehicle scale to accurately weigh and record all inbound and outbound material transactions.
Inspect incoming scrap materials to ensure compliance with company quality standards and specifications.
Accurately enter and maintain transaction data in the inventory and ticketing system.
Assist customers and drivers with the weighing process and direct traffic as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area at the scale house.
Communicate effectively with yard personnel, management, and customers regarding material classification and pricing.
Prepare daily reports on material volumes and quality issues.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably in logistics, warehousing, or recycling.
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and scale operation.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency with basic computer software and ability to learn specific scale software.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Pay & Schedule:
Pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour (Pending Experience)
Schedule:
Monday through Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
