Openwork is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Sander/Prepper position in Hampton, GA. As a Sander/Prepper, you will prepare materials for the painting area by sanding, cleaning, and inspecting surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards. This is a hands-on role that requires focus, efficiency, and teamwork.

Responsibilities for this Sander/Prepper job include:

• Sand and prep materials, surfaces, and parts for painting or finishing

• Inspect materials for defects, damage, or inconsistencies before painting

• Clean and organize work areas to maintain a safe and efficient workspace

• Operate hand tools, sanders, and other prep equipment safely and effectively

• Follow all safety protocols and wear proper protective equipment (PPE)

• Assist painters or other production staff as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in sanding, prepping, or manufacturing is required

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Clean background and drug screening required
