About the Role We are seeking a Safety Technician to support health, safety, and environmental (HSE) efforts within a fast-paced oil & gas manufacturing environment. This position plays a key role in maintaining a safe workplace by helping implement, monitor, and enforce safety policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in implementing and maintaining HSE programs and policies
Conduct routine safety inspections of production areas, equipment, and work practices
Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
Support incident investigations, including reports and root cause analysis
Ensure compliance with OSHA and other applicable safety regulations
Assist with Job Safety Analyses (JSA), risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems
Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions
Maintain safety records, documentation, and training logs
Support emergency response planning and drills
Monitor and enforce proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Assist with contractor safety orientations and compliance
Track and report safety performance metrics
Qualifications
3–5 years of safety experience in oil & gas, manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments
Strong understanding of workplace safety standards and procedures
Experience with incident investigations and safety inspections preferred
Bilingual: English-Spanish
Physical Requirements
Ability to walk, stand, and climb ladders throughout the workday
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Comfortable working outdoors and around industrial equipment
Must be able to wear required PPE, including hard hats, safety glasses, respirators, and steel-toe boots
