SAFETY MANAGER

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a dedicated Safety Manager in the Baytown Area. In this high-impact and rewarding role, you will be responsible for leading comprehensive site safety programs, taking over a well-established safety program, and maintaining top-tier compliance for a growing team. In a Safety Manager job you’ll be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a safe work environment.

• Conducting regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.

• Investigating accidents and incidents, determining root causes, and creating corrective action plans.

• Managing third-party compliance groups and serving as a liaison between site personnel and regulatory agencies.

• Assisting with tracking and adhering to drug policies, client-specific policies, and insurance compliance items.

• Providing engaging safety training to employees, contractors, and visitors, while staying up to date on new safety technology.

• Managing the safety department budget, preparing executive reports, and coordinating emergency response activities.

What you’ll need:

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation.

• Strong background and hands-on experience in construction safety management.

• Deep working knowledge of OSHA standards, regulations, and reporting.
