Overview
We are currently searching on behalf of our client, a global advanced materials and specialty chemicals manufacturer, for a Quality Systems Coordinator to support their Quality Control operations in Los Angeles.
This role is critical in ensuring efficient laboratory workflow, accurate quality documentation, and strong cross-functional communication across quality, operations, supply chain, and production teams. The position is well-suited for someone highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced technical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate lab workflow to help meet ?95% on-time testing by tracking samples, confirming receipt, and resolving missing information.
  • Enter and maintain lab tracking data and worksheets in shared systems.
  • Respond quickly to internal requests with status updates, acknowledgments, or resolutions.
  • Support improvements by identifying and helping fix inefficiencies in quality processes.
  • Assist with SAP QM/MM tasks, including maintaining inspection plans and related documentation.
  • Process goods receipts for lab purchases and support packaging/process order reviews.
  • Issue Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
  • File, organize, and retrieve quality records and manage incoming and retained samples.
  • Provide backup support to other quality operations tasks as needed.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Customer Service.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel (Access a plus).
  • Experience with SAP QM and/or MM preferred but not required.
Prior experience in a lab, quality, manufacturing, or administrative support role is a plus.

Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in a quality, laboratory, manufacturing, or operations support environment.
  • Familiarity with documentation control, sample tracking, or production support workflows.
  • Exposure to continuous improvement or process optimization initiatives.
  • Strong teamwork mindset with the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
