We are seeking a qualified Quality Control Supervisor with a strong background in metal fabrication, welding inspection, and quality management. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing inspection operations, ensuring compliance with quality standards, developing team members, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Lead and enforce company quality standards, safety requirements, and policies.
Supervise, train, mentor, and develop Quality Control personnel.
Manage employee performance, attendance, PTO requests, and disciplinary actions.
Schedule and prioritize inspection activities to support production demands.
Communicate inspection status and quality concerns with production and leadership teams.
Oversee inspections for incoming materials, machining, forming, welding, assembly, finishing, and final products.
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
Verify dimensions, material compliance, and workmanship standards.
Maintain quality documentation, Material Test Reports (MTRs), and inspection records.
Manage non-conformance reporting and corrective action processes.
Coordinate calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.
Interface with customers, auditors, and third-party inspectors.
Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance quality and operational efficiency.
Support procurement of quality tools, materials, and supplies.
Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience leading teams of 3 or more employees.
10+ years of inspection experience, including visual, dimensional, and NDE inspections.
