Chemical QC Lab Technician – ICP

Schedule: DuPont Rotating Shift (12-hour shifts, rotating days/nights)

About the Opportunity
A global leader in chemical manufacturing is seeking a Chemical Quality Control Lab Technician with strong ICP experience to support its Conroe, TX facility. Ideal candidates will have hands-on analytical lab experience—especially with ICP instrumentation—in a chemical, industrial, academic, or manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasma) analysis on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products
- Calibrate, operate, and perform basic troubleshooting on ICP instrumentation (ICP-OES or ICP-MS)
- Interpret ICP data, report results, and communicate abnormalities
- Conduct additional QC tests as needed (GC, titrations, wet chemistry, etc.)
- Prepare reagents and standards following proper documentation protocols
- Maintain accurate records, instrument logs, and entries in LIMS/SAP
- Adhere to all EHS, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Complete shift turnover documentation accurately and on time
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with ICP instrumentation (ICP-OES or ICP-MS)
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related science preferred
- Familiarity with analytical techniques such as GC, titrations, and wet chemistry
- Comfortable working a DuPont rotating shift (12-hour shifts, rotating days & nights)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with LIMS or SAP is a plus
