Production Supervisor

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find an experienced Production Supervisor for a manufacturing site in Lawrenceville, Georgia. In this leadership-focused role, you will oversee production operations, guide production employees, maintain quality and safety standards, and help ensure products are completed accurately and on schedule. In a Production Supervisor job, you’ll be responsible for:

• Supervising production operations, shifts, production lines, and related activities at the Lawrenceville manufacturing site.

• Assisting with staffing, scheduling, onboarding, and training production employees and temporary workers.

• Leading, coaching, and motivating production employees to meet safety, quality, productivity, and attendance expectations.

• Monitoring resin blends, line changes, production timing, and operating procedures.

• Ensuring equipment is properly operated and maintained according to GMP practices.

• Coordinating with the transportation department to support accurate and on-time product delivery

What you’ll need:

• At least one year of packing, production, or manufacturing experience.

• Firsthand knowledge of production-line positions and responsibilities.

• Experience working with polyethylene products, plastic goods, extrusion processes, or packaging operations is strongly preferred.

• Ability to positively lead, direct, coach, train, and supervise employees.

• Strong understanding of quality standards, production processes, GMP requirements, and safe work practices.

• Ability to identify and troubleshoot equipment, quality, and production-process issues

• Ability to remain dependable, professional, and solutions-focused in a fast-paced production environment.

• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and company software.

• Willingness to learn the company’s products, manufacturing strategy, equipment, and product flow.

Physical requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours.
• Night shift rotation - 6:00pm-6:00am
