Production Planning Intern
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00/hr.

Summary
Openwork, formerly Meador Staffing, is seeking someone who is interested in an internship in Production Planning in the Webster area! This position is for for candidates who currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or Engineering. Responsibilities
- Enter and maintain production-related data in the ERP system.
- Update work order information, production schedules, and planning records.
- Generate and update basic reports using Microsoft Excel.
- Assist with creating and processing manufacturing work orders.
- Support the release and printing of work orders
- Review work orders for basic information accuracy, including part numbers, quantities, and required dates.
- Assist with tracking open work orders and updating production status.
- Communicate basic work order discrepancies to the Production Planning team.
- Assist with maintaining daily and weekly production schedules.
- Help monitor production backlog and update order status.
- Support inventory and material availability checks.
- Assist planners with identifying missing information or potential production
- Perform other planning and administrative tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to perform repetitive data entry tasks with accuracy.
- Willingness to learn manufacturing operations and ERP systems.
- No prior manufacturing experience required.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or Engineering
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Frequent walking and standing around facility.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
Learning Opportunities
- Gain exposure to manufacturing and production planning operations.
- Develop experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
- Learn the work order creation and release process.
- Understand the relationship between customer demand, inventory, and production scheduling.
- Develop data management, reporting, and administrative skills.
