Openwork is looking for dependable and hardworking Production Associates to join our paint line operations on first (day) and third (overnight) shifts in Georgetown, TX. In this active, hands-on role, you’ll support production by preparing, hanging, and inspecting metal parts for painting. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with their hands and take pride in quality craftsmanship.


Position Overview:

As a Paint Line Production Associate, you will:

  • Load and unload fabricated metal parts on a conveyor paint line.

  • Prepare parts for painting by cleaning and inspecting them.

  • Ensure optimal part placement for full paint coverage and line efficiency.

  • Inspect tools, hooks, and equipment for wear or defects.

  • Conduct safety checks and ensure safe operation at all times.

  • Monitor painted parts for quality standards, including coverage and thickness.

  • Assist with washer maintenance and general upkeep of equipment.

  • Keep work areas clean, safe, and well-organized.

  • Help train new team members in best practices and safety procedures.


Qualifications:

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

  • At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or production settings.

  • Comfortable using hand tools, measuring devices, and mechanical troubleshooting.

  • Ability to read part specs, operating manuals, and safety documentation.

  • Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working with minimal supervision.

  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends based on production needs.


Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, and lifting.

  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs regularly.

  • Work may involve exposure to metal parts, powder coating materials, and industrial cleaning agents.


Additional Duties:

  • Keep all workstations and common areas clean and free of hazards.

  • Properly dispose of trash, scrap metal, and packaging materials.

  • Perform other tasks as directed by supervisors or managers.
