Product Specialist (Tactical Gear) – Warehouse & E-Commerce

Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | $18–$22/hr

Openwork is hiring a Product Specialist in Charlotte, NC to support our growing warehouse and e-commerce operation. This is not a storefront retail position — we are a warehouse-based company that ships tactical and firearm-related gear directly to dealers and customers.

Important: We do not sell firearms or ammunition. However, this role does require strong knowledge and passion for firearms platforms, especially AR-style rifles and the Glock platform, to accurately support customers and properly list products.

What You’ll Be Doing

This role is approximately 70% computer-based and 30% warehouse-based.

Key responsibilities include:

• Answering inbound calls from dealers and customers

• Assisting customers with product questions and recommendations

• Creating product listings for online marketplaces including:

  • GunBroker

  • Amazon

  • eBay

• Taking clear product photos and uploading them with accurate descriptions

• Entering product details, specs, and pricing with high attention to detail

• Using Excel regularly, including formulas (required)

• Supporting warehouse tasks as needed (pulling product, verifying items, packaging support, etc.)

We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, tech comfortable, and genuinely interested in the firearms industry.

Qualifications & preferences:

• Strong working knowledge of:

  • AR platforms

  • Glock platform (required)

  • Tactical gear and accessories

• Comfortable working with computers daily

• MUST have SOLID Excel skills, including formulas

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Professional phone communication skills

• Ability to learn product lines quickly and work independently

Preferred background:

• Experience working in a firearms-related environment such as:

  • Bass Pro / gun department

  • Gun range

  • Tactical retail

  • Firearms accessories warehouse or distributor

• Monday–Friday

• 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

• Occasional work after 5:00 PM may be required (rare)

• Pay: $18–$22/hour, based on experience
