Flexographic Press Operator
Location: Charlotte, NC
Pay: $22.00-$28.00+/hr (Based on Experience)
Shifts Available:
- 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM
Openwork is hiring experienced Flexographic Press Operators for our customer in Charlotte, NC. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with printing press experience who are looking to join a clean, fast-paced manufacturing environment with competitive pay and long-term career growth.
We're seeking detail-oriented individuals who can set up, operate, and monitor flexographic printing equipment while producing high-quality labels that meet customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate flexographic printing presses
- Review work orders and job specifications before production runs
- Monitor print quality and make machine adjustments as needed
- Conduct color matching and quality checks throughout production
- Complete press changeovers and job setups
- Troubleshoot minor equipment and printing issues
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation
- Inspect finished product to ensure customer specifications are met
- Work closely with Finishing, Quality, and Production teams
- Follow all safety and housekeeping standards
Qualifications
- Previous flexographic press operation experience preferred
- Experience with label printing is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret job tickets and production specifications
- Experience performing press setups and changeovers
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Reliable transportation and good attendance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
- Frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, reach, twist, and move throughout the production area
- Comfortable working around moving machinery and manufacturing equipment
- Able to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment
