Plant Manager – Chemical Blending – Southeast Houston
Location: Southeast Houston, 77061 Type: Direct-Hire with Benefits! Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hours per day Pay: $130K-$140K with Bonus Potential!
Position Overview
This role is responsible for serving as the plant leader at a chemical blending facility. Responsibilities include but are not limited to production, operations, safety, quality, and more.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise all daily manufacturing operations, including staffing, work assignments, and material flow for a chemical blending facility.
Maintain a strong, visible presence on the production floor; actively engage employees and resolve operational issues quickly.
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Demonstrate hands-on leadership and support plant operations directly when needed.
Ensure full compliance with EH&S, OSHA, and company safety policies.
Maintain product quality standards and achieve customer delivery commitments.
Ensure employee training is current, documented, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Oversee hazardous waste management and regulatory compliance programs.
Coordinate production planning, scheduling, and shipping activities.
Ensure raw material availability and staffing levels to support production needs.
Maintain process documentation and coordinate updates to equipment and process P&IDs.
Ensure preventive maintenance programs are executed to maintain equipment reliability.
Support inventory control, cycle counts, shipping, and receiving processes.
Identify and implement improvements in processes, equipment utilization, and plant organization (including 5S initiatives).
Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, R&D, Purchasing, EH&S) and support audits, inspections, and regulatory interactions.? Fluent in English (written and verbal).
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in leadership within a plant setting.
Ability to work well with small local teams and interact with large global team.
Proven experience supervising 12+ direct reports.
