Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a reliable and skilled Housing Maintenance Technician in Jackson, GA. In this hands-on, impactful role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming community environment, supporting residents with timely repairs, and preparing apartments for new move-ins. In a Housing Maintenance job you’ll be responsible for:
Maintaining the overall property, grounds, and building interiors to ensure a safe and attractive community.
Completing resident work orders, troubleshooting appliances, and performing minor electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs.
Preparing newly vacated apartments for new residents, including painting, cleaning, and basic maintenance.
Supporting emergency maintenance procedures and participating in annual unit inspections.
What you’ll need:
High School Diploma or GED.
At least one year of experience in general building maintenance.
Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, landscaping, and
appliance troubleshooting.
Valid driver’s license (required if traveling between multiple properties).
Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
