Openwork is currently seeking dependable and hardworking Packaging Operators to join a fast-paced warehouse and production environment in La Porte, TX! This position is ideal for candidates who are comfortable working rotating shifts and performing hands-on packaging and general labor duties.
As a Packaging Operator, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling packaging materials, labeling, palletizing, stacking, and repacking materials. You may also operate packaging and transfer equipment while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble boxes, lids, and other packaging materials
- Staple, label, stack, and palletize finished products
- Perform packaging and repacking duties as assigned
- Operate packaging and transfer equipment following established procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform general labor and warehouse support duties as needed
- Follow all packaging, quality, and safety procedures
- Wear required PPE and comply with OSHA and company safety guidelines
- Work independently while maintaining speed and accuracy
Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
- Comfortable working in an indoor/outdoor warehouse environment with varying temperatures and weather conditions
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are required
- Must be flexible to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay Rate: $17.00/hour
Schedule: Rotating Day/Night Shifts
- 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
- 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
