Order Puller / Warehouse Associate

Location: Humble, TX
Pay: $18/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–6:30 PM

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a dependable, professional, and detail-oriented Order Puller / Warehouse Associate to join its Houston-area warehouse team. This position is responsible for accurately pulling, preparing, and staging customer orders for shipment.

Our client specializes in cryogenic and compressed-gas equipment and supplies, including valves, hoses, fittings, regulators, safety equipment, and other industrial components.

Because the Houston location also serves as a training and R&D facility and regularly hosts sales representatives and clients, the ideal candidate must be reliable, professional, and comfortable representing the company in a customer-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately pull customer orders using pick tickets, packing lists, or computer-generated orders.

• Locate products throughout the warehouse and verify part numbers, descriptions, and quantities.

• Pick, pack, label, and stage orders for shipment.

• Prepare orders for parcel, LTL, and other freight shipments.

• Inspect products for accuracy and visible damage before shipment.

• Safely handle industrial parts, components, boxes, and warehouse materials.

• Assist with receiving, stocking, inventory counts, and product replenishment.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and clearly labeled warehouse.

• Follow all company safety procedures and proper material-handling practices.

• Communicate inventory discrepancies, damaged products, or order issues to management.

• Work effectively with the warehouse team to meet daily fulfillment and shipping deadlines.

• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, order pulling, picking/packing, shipping, or distribution experience preferred.

• Ability to accurately read and follow pick tickets, packing slips, labels, and product information.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Basic computer skills and ability to learn warehouse/order-entry systems.

• Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

• Mechanical or industrial warehouse experience is a plus.

• Experience with plumbing, mechanical, gas, cryogenic, or industrial components is preferred but not required.

• Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor due to frequent visitors and client interactions.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, and lift.

• Ability to safely lift and move boxes and warehouse materials.

• Ability to perform repetitive picking, packing, and material-handling activities.

• Ability to follow all required PPE and warehouse safety procedures.

Dress Code

Business casual. Knee-length shorts are acceptable. Clothing should not contain inappropriate logos or graphics.
