Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a Fleet Office Assistant for a service center located in East Austin, TX. In this role, you’ll be responsible for supporting the fleet department by greeting visitors, managing inbound inquiries, and coordinating vehicle service needs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on administrative work in an office setting and thrives working side-by-side with a collaborative team.

As a Fleet Office Assistant, you’ll be responsible for:

• Providing customer service at the front window and answering inbound phone calls

• Monitoring two departmental email inboxes and responding to routine inquiries

• Creating vouchers for oil changes and scheduling loaner vehicles (training provided)

• Opening and writing work orders, and communicating vehicle complaints or issues directly with mechanics

• Assisting with the distribution of car wash stickers and tracking office supplies

• Navigating internal computer software and databases alongside experienced team members (training provided)

What you’ll need:

• Tech-savvy mindset with the ability to learn new software programs quickly

• Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal and written)

• Dependability, attention to detail, and a team-oriented attitude

• Comfort working in an active office environment alongside fleet and maintenance personnel

Perks:

• $16.00/hour pay rate

• Stable schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm (no weekends, no overtime)

• 6-month contract assignment with consistent 40 hours per week

• Comprehensive on-the-job training provided
