Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a Extrusion Supervisor in Lawrenceville, GA. In this role, you will be responsible for accuracy in the warehouse. Apply today if you meet the qualifications listed below.

In a Extrusion Supervisor role you’ll be responsible for:

• Supervise extruder operators and material mixers to ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Oversee equipment set-up, start-up, operation, and shutdown to prevent failures and ensure efficient production.
• Utilize control plans and lab testing knowledge to maintain product quality and address non-conforming materials with QC.
• Monitor production performance, minimize scrap, and improve overall efficiency.
• Verify production documentation, shift metrics, and work order accuracy.
• Evaluate employee performance and assist with hiring, training, development, and disciplinary actions.
• Coordinate with warehouse and management regarding materials, finished goods, incidents, and maintenance needs.
• Maintain 5S standards and ensure effective shift-to-shift communication.
• Perform Extruder Operator and Materials Mixer duties as needed and complete additional assigned tasks.

 What you’ll need:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or associate degree preferred
• 3+ years of supervisor experience
• 2+ years of extruder experience
• Prior supervisory or team lead experience 
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Knowledge of extrusion machinery and production processes
• Ability to read blueprints, work orders, and quality standards
• Proficiency with basic computer systems and production tracking software
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime if needed

5:00 pm- 4:30 am
