Openwork is currently engaged in search to find a General Laborer – Warehouse is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including loading and unloading shipments, organizing inventory, maintaining a clean work environment, and assisting with basic tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
As a General Labor you’ll be responsible for:
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets safely and efficiently.
- Move products and materials manually or with pallet jacks, dollies, or forklifts (if certified).
- Sort, organize, and store inventory in proper locations.
- Keep the warehouse clean and free of safety hazards (sweeping, trash removal, etc.).
- Assist with packing, labeling, and preparing orders for shipment.
- Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report damaged goods, equipment issues, or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Assist team members with general warehouse duties as needed.
What you’ll need:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or general labor experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand or walk for long periods.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety standards.
- Team player with a strong work ethic and reliability.
- Willingness to learn and take on varied tasks.
Perks:
- Full time; Two shifts available
- Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30 & Monday-Friday 3:30-12:00 with occasional overtime.
- Pay $17 to $19 an hour
