The Houston branch of Openwork has partnered with a well-established HVAC Manufacturer/Supplier to add a Material Handler to their team!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate and communicate with logistics technicians, sales representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
- Loading and unloading of incoming containers and outgoing truckload shipments including parts, compressors, and systems.
- Tagging parts and compressors to company requirements.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of sit down forklift experience
- Experience operating large forklifts is a huge plus
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to use power and hand tools.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent mechanical skills.
- MUST be wiling to consent to background check and drug screen
- MUST be willing to work indoors and outdoors

PAY:
- $20/hour - Morning Shift
- $22/hour - PM Shift
SCHEDULE:
- AM- 6:00am - 4:15pm
- 2:45pm - 3:45am
- 30 minute lunch
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Contract to hire position
PPE REQUIRED:
- Full ankle support safety toe shoes (Can be steel or composite)
- All other PPE provided
