Openwork is seeking an experienced Material Handler / Deburr professional for a manufacturing operation in Oklahoma City. This hands-on position is a great fit for someone with experience in material handling, forklift operation, overhead cranes, and metal finishing who is looking for steady work and long-term potential.

Position at a Glance

Location: Oklahoma City, OK 73179
Pay: $18.00–$19.00 per hour | Weekly Pay
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Overtime: As needed based on business needs
Employment Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Your Day-to-Day

  • Remove burrs, nicks, and rough edges from sheet metal and steel plate
  • Grind, deburr, and clean manufactured parts
  • Cut and remove scrap materials as needed
  • Load and unload materials and parts from production machines
  • Use overhead cranes extensively to safely move materials and parts
  • Handle and stage materials throughout the manufacturing area
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • 2+ years of material-handling experience required
  • Forklift operating experience required
  • Overhead crane experience required
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure
  • Grinding and deburring experience preferred
  • Comfortable working with sheet metal and steel plate
  • Strong attention to safety, quality, and accuracy
  • Reliable and consistent attendance
  • Ability to work effectively in a hands-on manufacturing environment
  • Flexibility to work overtime based on business needs

The Work Environment

This is a hands-on industrial manufacturing position. Candidates should be comfortable with:

  • Non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
  • Industrial noise levels requiring participation in a hearing conservation program
  • Working around manufacturing equipment and materials
  • Lifting 25–50 lbs.
  • Standing, walking, sitting, and remaining active throughout the scheduled shift
