Openwork is hiring an experienced Manufacturing Electrician to support electrical panel assembly and HVAC equipment production for a growing manufacturing operation in Houston. This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong electrical troubleshooting skills who enjoys hands-on work, leadership responsibilities, and working in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support electrical assembly and panel-building teams

• Install and wire electrical components into control panels and equipment

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, layouts, and technical drawings

• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance standards are met

• Troubleshoot wiring issues and resolve electrical problems efficiently

• Install breakers, overloads, transformers, contactors, and related components

• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively

• Maintain clean, organized, and production-ready work areas

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of manufacturing electrician or electrical assembly experience required

• Previous experience building and wiring electrical control panels required

• Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring standards, and wire gauges

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings

• Experience identifying wiring issues and troubleshooting electrical systems

• Leadership or lead experience in manufacturing or production environments preferred

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team-focused environment
