Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a Maintenance/Groundskeeper for a Country Club located in Central Austin, TX! Apply today if you meet the qualifications listed below.
As a Maintenance/Groundskeeper, your duties will be:
Leaf blowing
Fill water jugs with ice and water
Pick up and dispose of trash
Landscaping work: fix irrigation lines, trim trees and bushes, flower bed cleaning
Window cleaning
Sweep, mop, vacuum
Gather soiled towels, linens, and other garments and take them to Laundry Room for processing
Work indoors and outdoors where necessary
Work in assisting other departments as needed or required; adapt from job to job
Inside facilities, frequent, regular cleaning as required, (general janitorial), including additional Covid-19 cleaning protocols.
General repairs to building and premises including: light masonry, carpentry, painting, plumbing, pressure washing, and other similar duties.
Use power tools such as: Cordless and corded drills, saws, and the like.
Follow all instructions and directions from management
Use personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, goggles, helmets, gloves, etc.
What you will need:
Qualified applicants will have at least ONE YEAR of commercial or TWO YEARS’ residential maintenance experience.
Must be flexible to shift changes
Punctual and reliable
Bilingual-Spanish is a plus
Attention to detail
A valid driver’s license
Have reliable transportation
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in heat and cold for extended periods of time and perform the following duties while maintaining Club standards: standing, walking, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, lifting, holding/carrying, twisting/turning, reaching, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift at least (50) pounds regularly.
Must be able to stand and work in a hot, humid and sometimes loud environment.
