Maintenance Worker
Location: Houston, TX 77028
Pay: $17.00 per hour | Weekly Pay
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
Overview
Openwork is hiring dependable Maintenance Workers to support a busy industrial facility. This role is key to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient environment that supports daily production.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, work areas, equipment, and shared spaces
- Remove waste and keep indoor/outdoor areas organized, including parking lot upkeep
- Clean and sanitize pallets, tools, respirators, break rooms, and locker rooms
- Operate a forklift to transport trash bins and materials as needed
- Operate floor sweeper on a scheduled routine
- Assist with general labor tasks and follow all safety and QMS procedures
- Complete assigned tasks while following instructions with strong attention to detail
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of industrial, janitorial, or warehouse experience
- Forklift experience required
- Ability to lift 50–70 lbs and remain active throughout the shift
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- High School diploma or GED
Safety and Work Requirements
- Must be clean-shaven to ensure proper respirator fit
- Must be able to wear a respirator throughout the shift
- Must follow safety protocols, including end-of-shift hygiene procedures
- Must pass background check and drug screening
