Maintenance Worker

Location: Houston, TX 77028
Pay: $17.00 per hour | Weekly Pay
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Overview
Openwork is hiring dependable Maintenance Workers to support a busy industrial facility. This role is key to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient environment that supports daily production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness of floors, work areas, equipment, and shared spaces
  • Remove waste and keep indoor/outdoor areas organized, including parking lot upkeep
  • Clean and sanitize pallets, tools, respirators, break rooms, and locker rooms
  • Operate a forklift to transport trash bins and materials as needed
  • Operate floor sweeper on a scheduled routine
  • Assist with general labor tasks and follow all safety and QMS procedures
  • Complete assigned tasks while following instructions with strong attention to detail

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of industrial, janitorial, or warehouse experience
  • Forklift experience required
  • Ability to lift 50–70 lbs and remain active throughout the shift
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • High School diploma or GED

Safety and Work Requirements

  • Must be clean-shaven to ensure proper respirator fit
  • Must be able to wear a respirator throughout the shift
  • Must follow safety protocols, including end-of-shift hygiene procedures
  • Must pass background check and drug screening
