Maintenance Technician
Location: Baytown, TX 
Shift Details: Rotating shifts; requires flexibility for on-call support and frequent overtime
Pay Rate: $25/hr

Role Summary

Openwork is hiring a skilled Maintenance Technician to oversee equipment repairs and preventive maintenance in a high-volume supply and distribution environment. We need a reliable problem-solver who takes pride in quality work, works well with minimal supervision, and keeps safety top of mind.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Repairs: Perform preventive, scheduled, and emergency repairs on facility equipment and automated packaging systems (pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic).

• Troubleshooting: Diagnose system issues using electrical diagrams and equipment manuals.

• Safety & Quality: Strictly follow OSHA, LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), PPE, and site quality standards.

• Parts & Records: Log detailed maintenance reports and monitor spare parts inventory.

• Facility Support: Maintain a clean work area and assist with general labor tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Experience: 2–3+ years of technical education or relevant maintenance experience.

• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with automated packaging equipment and reading electrical schematics. Must own a basic set of hand tools.

• Physical & Environmental: Able to lift up to 55 lbs and work in indoor/outdoor weather conditions.

• Schedule & Soft Skills: Fluent in English; solid math and problem-solving skills; excellent punctuality and willingness to work flexible hours to complete repairs.
