Maintenance Technician – Industrial Manufacturing
Location: Deer Park
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Shift: 1st Shift
Hours: 6:30AM - 3:30PM
Pay: $25/hr
About the Role
We are currently sourcing qualified Maintenance Technicians on behalf of a our client, an industrial manufacturing company serving engineered products and industrial equipment markets. The client is seeking a skilled technician to perform installation, repair, and preventative maintenance on production equipment and plant facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on presses, shears, winders, cutters, CNC machinery, and other plant equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and PLC-controlled systems; repair or replace defective parts.
- Assist with minor carpentry, plumbing, painting, welding, and millwright tasks as needed.
- Maintain equipment, tools, and work areas in a safe and orderly condition.
- Follow safety procedures and report defective materials, faulty equipment, or unusual conditions.
- Support machine fabrication, assembly, and equipment restoration projects as required.
Qualifications
- 1-year technical certificate or 3–5 years of related experience (or equivalent combination).
- Strong mechanical, electrical, welding, and PLC troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with CNC machinery, lathes, surface grinders, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotary/linear encoders.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, work orders, and safety documentation.
Physical & Work Environment
- Frequent standing, climbing, reaching, and use of hands; ability to lift up to 25 lbs and assist with heavier loads.
- Work performed in an industrial plant/warehouse environment with machinery, noise, and moderate exposure to fumes and temperature fluctuations.
