Openwork is seeking a dependable Maintenance Service Technician to join our client’s team in the Charlotte area. In this role, you’ll perform routine maintenance, basic mechanical repairs, and service tasks on equipment and parts. This position is ideal for someone with hands?on experience in automotive maintenance, oil changes, electrical troubleshooting, or general mechanical work who enjoys a mix of shop and warehouse activity.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and service tasks on equipment and components

  • Complete oil changes, filter replacements, and basic mechanical repairs

  • Assist with diagnosing minor electrical or mechanical issues

  • Inspect equipment and parts to ensure they meet operational standards

  • Prepare work areas, tools, and materials needed for daily tasks

  • Document service work, maintenance findings, and completed tasks

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace

  • Support warehouse operations as needed, including pulling parts or preparing items for service

  • Follow all company safety procedures, guidelines, and standard operating practices

  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support service and maintenance operations

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • Experience in oil changes, automotive maintenance, electrical basics, or general mechanical work

  • Ability to use standard hand tools and basic diagnostic tools

  • Prior maintenance or service experience is helpful but not required

  • No certifications or licenses required

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift

  • Frequent use of hands to handle tools, parts, and equipment

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30–40 lbs regularly

  • Visual requirements include close vision, depth perception, and color recognition

Work Environment:

  • Service and warehouse setting with exposure to tools, equipment, and mechanical components

  • Moderate noise levels typical of a maintenance environment

  • Fast?paced, hands?on work environment

  • Business?casual attire required

Note: This job description provides a general overview of the role. Duties may change based on operational needs. Assignment duration may vary depending on business demand. This position is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with pay ranging from $19–$22/hr depending on experience.
